MiSight 1 Day Lenses

A new soft contact lens called MiSight 1 day has been FDA-approved to slow the progression of childhood Myopia. The lenses are single-use and suitable for children ages 8-12 years old.

Myopia, otherwise known as nearsightedness, has been named one of the bigger eye issues affecting children today. As the child grows up, the problem progresses in severity so that they need higher prescriptions. Down the road, these individuals are more likely to suffer from other, more serious eye problems such as retinal detachment and glaucoma.

In partnership with the launch of CooperVision’s myopia management program in March of 2020, Sampalis Eye Care now offers these contacts to help manage and slow Myopia progression. Schedule your next appointment to see if this option is right for your family.
